Should i deregister my broken kindle

Is there any way I can do this? De-registering with a WiFi Kindle and broken screen? Can't see nothing in it. Originally Posted by FLeite. So that Amazon can process a replacement. I didn't have to de-register my original K3 to get a replacement when the screen got broken. I contacted Customer Service for the Kindle and got a replacement for less than I'd bought the original for the warranty had elapsed shortly before the accident with the reader and they took the broken reader off my account.

I assume there is some way to do this online, but haven't been able to figure it out. I would also like all the stuff on the old kindle transfered to the new one if possible You don't transfer content from one device to another, you need to download from your account.

You need to register your new Kindle Paperwhite to the account to which your old Kindle is registered. You turn on your kindle and go under menu. Not sure how the paper white works but it should walk you through reg. Or you can go on your computer, sign on to your amazon account and do it from there. If that doesn't work use the yellow contact button, have them call you they do it right away and have them walk you through it. This will ensure all your data is fully synchronized with your Amazom.

Press the "Menu" button on the new Kindle's keyboard and select "Settings" using the five-way controller. Select "Register" and enter the same username and password of the Amazon. Visit the "Manage Your Kindle" page on your computer's Web browser, and click the "Actions" button to the right of your previously purchased or downloaded Kindle content. Select "Delivery to my Repeat this for all items you want to send to your new Kindle.
