Can you reload remington umc

Do you have one hole in the middle of the primer pocket boxer , or two smaller ones, side by side berdan. Obviously you can't reload the two hole cases without special equipment. Jeff Bowers. UMC is their "economy" ammo. All my rifle UMC is full jacket, which means no hunting with it. But the brass has been reloaded several times with no stretching yet. I would suggest that, with all brass, that it not be loaded hotter than the factory load.

Should I be grabbing the casings and saving them in case I decide to reload at some point?

As far as I know, the only thing you can't reload is steel case. I've reloaded UMC with no problems. Hopefully someone with more reloading experience can chime in with an answer that will leave you with more of a warm fuzzy than mine did, though.

Joined Jun 9, Messages 3, Likes 2, Location westford. You can reload steel cases but I don't because of the additional wear and tear on the sizing die. It's aluminum that you can't reload because of the berdan primer. CCI probably doesn't want people subjecting the aluminum case to the stress of a second firing.
